Hobbies

When I was growing up I spent a lot of time outside with my grandpa and dad. I loved fishing, being in the woods, and shooting guns. I started becoming more interested in knives when I was about eighteen years old. My dad and I started experimenting with making knives shortly after I graduated high school.

We would go to shops down town and look at all the different types, and styles of knives in the stores. After long days of observing, we would go back and think of ways we could create more unique knives. Our goal was to create knives that were noticeably different from the typical knives we saw down town in the local shops. That is how GODDARDKNIVES began.

I loved making home made knives with my dad, and I still do today. I believe that it is a great hobby, that eventually turned into a business. I love being able to do something that I love, and that makes me money. Making knives is not my only hobby, I also love fishing and shooting my custom upper ar15 tactical rifle.

Whenever i’m not working I love to go to the shooting range, or go shooting at the river with my friends. My favorite gun to shoot with is my AR-15 like I said earlier, I got all of my custom parts from Max Blagg. Since I have recently started to go shooting more often I have upgraded my rifle’s barrel for more precise accuracy. It is a lot of fun, and one of my favorite things to do along with making home made knives. I also love fishing with my dad at the crack of dawn.

Most people aren’t morning people, but if it is for fishing I’ll be up and out in my boat with my dad. Fishing relaxes me, and gives me the opportunity to have quality time with my dad. I recently invested in a Bass Pro extreme casting rod, and I haven’t used it as much as I’ve liked in the past few months. Although when I have used it, I love it. I love being outdoors, and being able to have a job I love doing.

Hand Made Knives

I make forged and stock removal knives. A forged camp knife or Bowie will be made of 5160. A collector grade folder will usually have a damascus blade. For a stainless working type hunting knife I will use a stock removal blade made of ATS-34. The knives I make are one-of-a-kind and prototypes. Just push the e-mail button and ask for my current list of knives that are available for immediate delivery. Don’t forget to tell me what kind of knives you like and use. I have several dozen knives in process at any one time, one or more may be just what you want.

Three one-of-a-kind folding knives.
